Project Background
Geotest Services was engaged to provide geotechnical and testing services as part of a commercial-style subdivision in Waragamba. Works involved large-scale earthworks associated with bulk fill placement and subdivision construction.
Works Undertaken:
Level 1 geotechnical supervision was provided during bulk earthworks, including observation and verification of the placement of approximately 150,000 m³ of fill material.
Field testing and inspections were undertaken throughout earthworks to confirm compaction, material performance and compliance with approved specifications and earthworks requirements.
Ongoing geotechnical support was provided during subdivision works to assess ground conditions as encountered and support construction activities as the works progressed.
Project Outcome
Bulk fill placement and compaction were verified as compliant with design and specification requirements.
Geotechnical supervision and testing supported the safe progression of subdivision works and achievement of relevant approval conditions.
